Time Out says

Things are heating up once again on Sentosa island. The annual beachside barbecue food festival, Sentosa GrillFest, returns again this year. Only this time, it’s bringing the party straight to your door.

With safe distancing measures in full swing, the festival debuts its home edition with a series of cooking tutorials, DIY grill kits, and an exclusive menu available via delivery. Happening every Thursday to Sunday, from October 29 to November 22, look forward to over 80 sizzling creations, attractive flash deals, and live cooking classes.

A sizzling home party

Top chefs from the Singapore Chefs’ Association have created a line-up of smoky treats that you can enjoy in the comforts of your dining table. Highlights include burnt bee hoon with grilled prawns ($18), 16-hour BBQ short ribs ($24), and seafood laksa linguini ($18).

Itching to fire up the grill? The festival has also teamed up with food supplier, Angliss Singapore, to create convenient grill-it-yourself kits. Prices start from $45 for a truffle beef burger set, to $75 for a mixed grill that is good for four. And to help you with mastering the grill, tune in to the live cooking classes held every Tuesdays via Sentosa GrillFest’s LazMall Flagship Store.

Beachside barbecue feast

But those hoping to have a sun-soaked party can still choose to visit Sentosa. Entry to the island is free (till December 31, btw) and various restaurants have created exclusive dine in-only dishes. There’s the impressive Jimbaran Seafood Platter ($158) from Rumours Beach Club, layered with jumbo prawns, bamboo lobster, red snapper, and squid; a lavish lobster Hokkien noodles ($20) from Good Old Days; Hokkaido scallops gratin ($30) from Ola Beach Club, and more. Reservations at these eateries can be placed as early as seven days in advance, so be sure to plan your trip early.
