Whether you’ve got a green thumb or not, the SG Garden Festival is for everyone to appreciate. The event, which takes place every two years at Gardens by the Bay, is back for its 10th edition under the theme Carnival of Blooms. Expect a showcase of rare blooms, jaw-dropping floral displays, and intricate tropical garden installations crafted by international and local landscape designers.
At the centre of the festival is its signature Show Gardens competition, which returns with a special all-stars version featuring eight past winners. Among those going head-to-head are Singapore’s John Tan (winner of 2010) and Eliam Eng and Andy Eng (winners of 2022), who will compete against acclaimed designers from the USA, UK, Italy, South Africa, Japan and Malaysia.
Another highlight to look forward to is the revamped My Living Space competition, where designers are invited to show how they would creatively inject greenery and lush oases into compact living spaces. Also returning for this year’s SGF is the Singapore Orchid Show, a display featuring over 100 rare and unusual orchid varieties.
