Time Out says

If you’ve got no idea what to get up to this long National Day weekend, the Science Centre Singapore has got you – and your kids – covered. Its SG Science Fest returns for a three-day celebration filled with family-friendly activities, from ocean-themed quests and live science shows to an outdoor water battle.

In Shipwrecked: Uncover the Mystery, put your detective skills to the test and embark on a self-guided adventure through the Centre to gather clues and crack puzzles to uncover the truth behind a mysterious shipwreck. Meanwhile, are you team human or team robot? Because things are about to get heated in Robot’s Bytes to Bites, where a local hawker and a robot chef face off to invent a new hawker dish. Elsewhere, choose speed or get soaked with water games like Splash Battle and a wet-and-wild version of Red Light, Green Light.

To mark the fest coinciding with National Day, the Centre has set up a cosy Kampung Corner where you can revisit old-school favourites. There’s chapteh and five stones, plus plenty of kacang putih to snack on. Also, as an added treat, all Singaporeans and Permanent Residents get to enjoy free admission to SG Science Fest.
