Time Out says

Here’s a tasty piece of good news during this gloomy period: Taiwan’s famous night market, Shilin, is making its way back to Singapore – and this year, it's going digital.

Held across two weekends on June 12 to 14 and June 19 to 21, the virtual marketplace allows you to revel in everything the physical festival has to offer across four virtual zones – Eat, Shop, Play and Fun – where you can enjoy captivating performances, engage in virtual hangouts, and participate in online shopping for food and products from the comfort of your home.

By going online, the Shilin Night Market hopes to shine a spotlight on F&B and retail operators who have been affected during this difficult time. Expect to find close to 100 local and regional vendors like Playmade, D'bun, Scent by Six, Yin Zun Handmade Soap, Mori and more at this year's edition.

The digital marketplace is gunning to be the largest online festival in this period and spotlights cult favourites, independent artisans and established local names and personalities. Expect immersive experiences like cooking segments by Aaron Wong, your chance to get signature dishes like Taiwanese braised pork rice delivered to home and you can look forward to be part of hilarious variety shows hosted by media personalities like Jamie Teo and Sgag. Excited? Us too.
