The unassuming entrance of Sultans of Shave’s North Canal outlet opens to a spacious shop space jazzed up with navy blue walls, dark wood accents and gold trimmings fit for royalty. Inspired by classic British barbershops, founder Lewis Lim and his team of six offer shaves and haircuts. The deluxe haircut ($48) is the most popular service, followed by the Sultan’s Shave ($60): a shave and an express facial to freshen up. Expect premium products from brands such as American Crew, Baxter of California and Byrd Hairdo for washing and styling, as well as lavender- and lemongrass-scented hot and cold towels for the shaves.

What an absolute nightmare! Do not go here! This is THE most awful experience I have ever been part of. Made booking online for the Sulton Experience and arrived to find the place torn up, a photo shoot in progress and it was a complete construction site! No joke - loud drills and hammering going on in the room where they were cutting people's hair. The receptionist apologized for the noise and offered a 10% discount, but after I was in the most UNCOMFORTABLE flimsy chair on the planet I realized that I could potentially have hearing loss it was so loud. After sitting there for a mediocre haircut and awful shave experience (like he was butchering my face), I finally lost it and took the towel off my face after being left sitting there and told them I wanted out of there. These owners or animals running the place HAVEN'T A CLUE. For them to even think for a second that they can continue operations with this MAJOR construction and noise going on in the same room as customers shows they are clueless and should not be running a company. Shame on them! Total shame - what a scam. And yes, they were filming a person for YouTube or something asking him to give a review of the place - obviously staged. This was like something out of a nightmare.
