Opened by professional pilots to make flying opportunities more available to the public, Seletar Flying Club provides basic flight training, post-private pilot license training and recurrent training sessions. It also conducts other aviation-related activities which include navigational trips, night flying experiences and seminars.
Calling all aspiring young aviators, it’s time for your dreams to take flight. Formed in 1971, the centre offers introductory courses to flying and a private pilot’s licence course. It also holds regular aeromodelling workshops and competitions, and field trips to various aviation facilities.
This isn’t your run-of-the-mill flight school. Unlike the others, Flightschool.sg trains wannabe pilots using only a flight simulator. Its programme also allows students to obtain a license after three months that lets them fly a US-registered airplane in any country.
The newest kid on the block, SG Aviation Training started in 2017 to educate budding pilots on the principles of flight. Here students get to learn the basics of aeronautics, flight operations and aviation language. It even offers courses for youths too. Those between the ages of 10 to 17 years old can participate in its Young Aviators and Educational Explorer programmes – the former lets kids try their hands on flying with its flight training simulator.
