Unleash your creative energy at The Shophouse Market, a two-day pop-up presented by Singapore Fashion Council. Curated local brands take over The Cocoon Space at Design Orchard to present unique and underrated pieces that you can take home. Some of the brands featured at the showcase include Èlan Earth and Forever Blossom.
Aside from shopping, there are also free interactive sessions that you can drop in on and learn from experts. Experiential jewellery atelier Maison Mugen is hosting a workshop where you can discover how to use advanced technologies like AI to turn images and sketches into sculptural jewellery. Meanwhile, RePlay by Raja Rani Studios guides you to breathe new life into old clothing. Bring along your pre-loved items, such as jeans, skirts or sarees, and turn them into upcycled garments on the spot. There’s also Denim Decoded, an immersive exhibition that traces the journey of your jeans, uncovering the process of making the raw material before it arrives in your closet.
The event includes a lineup of light snacks and beverages. There are Peranakan-inspired mocktails to quench your thirst and free ice cream – but, first-come, first-served.
