There's a new nightlife rhythm pulsing through CQ @ Clarke Quay (CQ) – and it's not just happening at sundown. Ditching the predictable cycle of neon-drenched clubs, the famed party spot is reimagining its after-dark scene with a fresh focus on innovation, diversity and experience. Cue Afterlight, a unique two-day social culture festival on November 7 and 8, blending identity-driven gamification with immersive nightlife entertainment, art installations, live DJs, and even a marketplace.

Between the glowing displays and EDM drops, Afterlight can be a lot to take in. Here’s your handy guide to this new neon jungle.

What is Afterlight?

Get ready to level up your night. Afterlight is a two-day social culture festival where you can game your way through an immersive, electrifying nightlife experience. It’s a new way to play, connect, and discover the city – and even yourself.

When and where is the festival?

The festival is happening on November 7 and 8 at CQ's Fountain Square, kicking off at 12pm with the Creators’ Alley and going late into the night with the main event. The light installations start illuminating after 5pm, and the live DJ sets hit the decks from 6.30pm till late.

How does it work?

Find your tribe with your vibe. Take a short quiz to reveal your unique aura type, based on your personality, music preferences, and how you enjoy festivals. Your aura then comes to life through a personalised interactive bracelet – your key to the night. Strap it on and jump straight into a festival-wide quest that transforms CQ into a playground of light and sound. Tap your bracelet to activate dynamic digital art, illuminate light installations, or team up with others on mini-missions.

The more you explore, take on the challenges, catch stage performances, and make purchases at CQ stores and the Creators’ Alley, the more tokens you'll earn for the GachaBot experience. Test your luck and spin the wheel for a chance to win amazing prizes such as exclusive festival merchandise and products from brands like DJI, MAC, Razer and SKINARMA.

What are some other highlights?

For those who love to express themselves, the vibrant Creators’ Alley awaits. Browse booths brimming with handcrafted jewellery and accessories, find unique collectibles, and discover exciting retail experiences. Get a jagua tattoo for a bold new look or simply explore the vibrant stalls from local artists and businesses.

Will there be live DJ sets?

Absolutely! Prepare to hit the dance floor with energetic DJ sets featuring an impressive lineup from across Asia. Perry K (Malaysia), DJ Molly (Taiwan) and Chuin (Singapore) take on the decks on November 7, followed by DJ Sally (China), Ashley Lau (Malaysia), Taz Angullia (Singapore) and Raaj (Singapore) on November 8. Expect a genre-spanning mix – from pulsating EDM and K-pop mixes to groovy baile funk and hypnotic tech house – all curated for an all-out party vibe.

But the music is only half the show. In a festival first, meet Mecha Kitsune, a striking digital avatar created in collaboration with artist Clogtwo, brought to life through his iconic MechaSoul style. This larger-than-life creation will light up the stage visuals and pulse with the music, adding an electrifying layer of art and energy to the experience.

Ready to party like never before? Entry is free! And if you’re among the first 500 to sign up here, you’ll receive an exclusive Afterlight merch featuring the Mecha Kitsune avatar. Secure your spot now.
