  • Raffles Place

Soak in the festive atmosphere at Christmas on a Great Street, an annual blockbuster event on Orchard Road to ring in the merriest time of the year. From now till January 2, catch 3.1km of light-ups along the shopping street – including a spectacular teal and white arch at Tanglin Road and 104 brilliantly-lit trees. Another highlight is the Great Christmas Village, where you can take a spin on an all-white carousel and nostalgic carnival rides. Tap your feet to live performances by Jack & Rai, Fyrdaus Macbeth, and more, and shop for festive gifts from brands like Gucci Beauty and Braun Buffel.

  • Things to do
  • Changi

It’s an underwater Christmas like no other at Jewel Changi Airport. Part of Changi Festive Village, Jewel is making a splash with Avatar: The Way of Water-inspired activities and installations. Head to Canopy Park and descend into a mysterious marine cave – illuminated by bioluminescent lights, its walls are illuminated by projections of playful sea creatures that respond to your movement. Other stunning attractions include the iconic Jewel Christmas Tree – it towers 16 metres tall – and a special Avatar-inspired display at the HSBC Rain Vortex Light & Sound show. Here’s a tip: keep your eyes peeled for creatures like Ilu and Tulkun prancing about in the waterfall’s spray.

Christmas Wonderland is a yearly festive affair, and as always, it promises to be a visual stunner. From December 2 to January 1, head down to Gardens by the Bay to get your fill of fun at six entertainment zones. Not to be missed are the 17-metre-tall Spalliera light installation at St. Nick’s Square and tons of Christmas shopping at Mistletoe Alley. For some family fun, hop on the Venetian double-storey horse carousel and win some prizes at Ring Toss, Bowling, and more in the Games Village. The forecast says it’s going to snow too – at Merry Lane’s Snowland, at least!
