Things are about to get red, white and campy at Two Queens Asia’s National Gay Party. Trade the annual parade for a Merlion Masquerade, where everybody’s invited on the dancefloor to celebrate Singapore’s birthday in the campiest way possible.
The dress code for the evening? “Auntie Chic”. You can arrive patriotic in your standard NDP fits, or flaunt your confident swag in floral blouses, gold accessories and leopard print anything. And don’t forget a reusable grocery bag for the full effect. Be sure to come dressed to impress as we hear there’ll be prizes given out all night long.
Keeping the energy high behind the decks are DJs Anna Stacia and Amanda Chuin, who will be spinning a mix of hip-hop, R&B and club anthems, alongside host and drag queen Secret Melur. Meanwhile, performers Julzdelrey and Tamaara.shan will bring their signature glamour and hypnotic moves on stage.
