Lesser-known traditional art forms in Singapore take centre stage at the third edition of Under One Atap, a series by The Black Sampan in support of the National Youth Council. You can try it for yourself or watch them in action through live presentations. Enjoy a kuda kepang demonstration, a showcase of wayang kulit, as well as a guzheng performance. Then join conversations with these practitioners and experts as they discuss how we can better learn about Singapore's diverse communities and how these art forms and traditions connect to ideas of culture and belonging. The session will be held at City Sprouts @ West Coast.
Under One Atap – which translates to Under One Roof – is a community-focused platform that brings people together for sharing sessions centred on forgotten or rarely discussed issues in Singapore. It aims to offer a safe and inclusive space for reflection and exchange. The programme is a spin-off of Atap Assembly.
