It’s beginning to look a lot like a Barbie Christmas. Wisma Atria has transformed its indoor and outdoor spaces into a magical, twinkling wonderland that pays homage to the blonde icon and her legacy. Think picture-perfect photo ops, interactive exhibitions, festive activities and loads more happening throughout the holiday season. There’s even a 6-metre Christmas tree fitted with bejewelled butterflies, glowing baubles and a crown, standing right outside the mall.
At the centre of this sweeping installation, however, is Wings of Christmas. Located at the Indoor Atrium, it’s a display of over 70 one-of-a-kind Barbie dolls dressed in sustainable fashion designed by Singaporean artists, including professionals and students from LASALLE College of the Arts. A selection of couture pieces will be up for silent auction, with proceeds benefiting HCSA SPIN via the Community Chest.
For the Barbie die-hards and collectors, don’t miss out on the Wings of Childhood Iridescent Angel Wings workshops conducted every Saturday until December 20. For $10, you’ll get to take home a brand-new Barbie and create a pair of angel wings with upcycled materials for your doll.
