Poet and photographer Marc Nair will soon be leaving Singapore, and as a farewell, he’s pulled together Weave: A Multidisciplinary Playground showcase at Aliwal Arts Centre. As its name suggests, the event weaves a tapestry of music, art, and spoken word by local artists Marc Nair has worked with over the years. There are 18 artists to discover at Weave: groove to the mesmerising world music of Mantravine, take in visual artwork by Yen Phang, enjoy a dance performance by Sudhee Liao, or be moved by the powerful spoken word poetry of Arunditha. 25 percent of ticket profits will go to the animal welfare non-profit ACRES.
