Time Out says

The rustle of paper, the gentle clacking of the keyboard, a woman whispering. ASMR, or autonomous sensory meridian response, has taken over the internet in a big way in recent years. If you're one of the many who experience a 'braingasm' or gain relaxation from ASMR videos, then you'll want to sign up for Whisperlodge's debut in Singapore.

Whisperlodge is one of the world's first live ASMR experiences. Finding its start in the United States in 2016, it has since gone on to 16 sold-out runs across multiple cities. At Whisperlodge, participants are led through an immersive 90-minute journey during which they are exposed to a lush medley of sensations – visual, auditory and touch – that aim to provide relaxation and intimacy.

"We no longer aim to simply trigger ASMR tingles," says Melinda, co-creator and artistic director of Whisperlodge. "Instead, our goal is to bring you into a state of calm awareness so that you can appreciate small sensations and details in your surroundings."

Created by NYC-based immersive creator Andrew Hoepfner and Singaporean artist and experience designer Melinda Lauw, this unique Whisperlodge experience can now be had at SainouSpace, a collaborative art and music space that serves as a platform for all sorts of creators.

ASMR enthuasiasts and the simply curious can look forward to intimate sessions of only four participants per slot on September 17 and 24 and October 1 and 9. There are four sessions each day at 2.30pm, 4.30pm, 7.30pm and 9.30pm. General tickets cost $158 per pax, and are available starting September 9 at sainouspace.com/whisperlodge-singapore
