Weekends are precious. They're for finally catching up with friends over good food, spending quality time with the family, taking your pup out on an adventure or simply wandering somewhere with a tasty bite in hand. So if you're looking for an evening out that ticks all those boxes and gives back to the community, Marina Bay Sands' Sands for Singapore Charity Festival deserves a spot on your calendar.

Returning to the Event Plaza for its 12th edition from August 28 to 30, the annual celebration transforms Marina Bay Sands into a vibrant community playground, complete with live entertainment, gourmet bites, interactive experiences and shopping with purpose. Better still, every meal, activity and purchase helps support meaningful causes, proving that doing good can be just as enjoyable as it is impactful. Here’s what to expect this year.

Kick back with live entertainment by the bay

Every great festival needs a soundtrack, and this one sets the tone. Set against the iconic Marina Bay skyline, the Event Plaza will come alive with performances from homegrown acts including pop artist RRILEY, alongside bands like 53A, The Vibes and SuperSonic. Grab your friends and family, and let the upbeat music carry you through the evening.

Shop local and support a good cause

Retail therapy feels even better when every purchase makes a difference. Instead of the usual shopping spree, take a wander through the Giving Marketplace, where 12 local non-profits, social enterprises and small businesses will be showcasing handcrafted gifts, artisanal products and freshly baked treats. Every purchase helps champion local communities and support organisations, making it one of those rare shopping trips you can feel genuinely good about.

Eat, sip and give back throughout the month

If food is your love language, come hungry. Over the festival weekend, The Good Bites Market brings together restaurant pop-ups from Marina Bay Sands’ celebrity chef and signature restaurants such as Black Tap, Bread Street Kitchen and RISE, as well as two of its retail tenants Roberta's and Café Nesuto. Look forward to crowd-pleasing favourites where proceeds go towards charity. It's a chance to sample some of the destination’s best-loved dining brands all in one place while supporting a meaningful cause.

Beyond the festival weekend, the giving continues all month long through Dine for Good. From now till August 30, 12 signature and celebrity chef restaurants, including CUT, estiatorio Milos, KOMA, LAVO, Maison Boulud, Mott 32, Origin + Bloom, Spago Bar & Lounge, WAKUDA, Yardbird, Miracle Coffee, and new restaurant Le Ju Xuan, are offering specially curated dishes, with proceeds supporting AWWA's Enabled Living @ Bedok programme. Date night, family dinner or that long-overdue catch-up now comes with a little extra purpose.
