Time Out says

At Why You Do That, the idea of tattooing becomes less about the ink on your skin and more about the act of marking itself: identity and self-expression. This exhibition at Bad Habits Provision invites 15 artists to swap human canvases for a collection of everyday objects, delivering unexpected outcomes. Think plastic chairs, traffic cones, door stoppers and even rice cookers getting the tattoo treatment. Each features a colourful custom design that’s aimed at reframing the way body art is viewed – particularly the assumptions that ink can “ruin” or “deface” the human body.

Plus, if you’ve been eyeing any of the works, now’s your chance to take them home. As the exhibition comes to a close this weekend, all 15 original pieces will be up for grabs. You can register your interest via the purchase form here.
