Time Out says

Zhongyuan Festival, or Hungry Ghost Festival, is known as the month when the gates of hell are opened and spirits are free to wander the earth. Yet the festival has more history and significance than you may know, which is why the Singapore Chinese Cultural Centre (SCCC) has put together a series of fun interactive games and activities to get you in touch with this distinctive cultural event.

Throughout August, visit SCCC's website and social channels to learn about the different festival dos and don'ts, get your craft on by building your own mobile getai, or sing your heart out at their TGIF Music Series: Getai Special with getai veterans and rising stars. If you want to dig even deeper into Zhongyuan Festival and local Chinese culture, be sure not to miss SCCC's permanent exhibition Singapo: Discovering Chinese Singaporean Culture.
