When you think of cherry blossoms, Japan’s Ueno Park and Himeji Castle naturally come to mind. While we like to frolic around the parks in the Land of the Rising Sun amidst the sea of sakura, it is still unclear when the country will be open to tourists just yet. Thankfully, there’s tons of other places that we can visit to catch these Instagramable pastel pink blooms. Here, we have compiled a list you can visit to get the full hanami experience at these spots outside of Japan.

Cherry blossoms can also be seen along the hiking trails, if you time it right. In northern Thailand, the season usually kicks off at the end of December and wraps up around early February.
