It’s Sydney like you’ve never seen it before. For 18 nights, the city and harbour transforms into a gorgeous spectacle, with light installations, 3D projections, music acts and activities for the entire family. From Circular Quay to the Museum of Contemporary Art Australia to the Sydney Opera House, there’s plenty to explore.
Highlights include Vivid Laser-Fountain Water Theatre at the Darling Harbour, where fountain jets tango with rainbow lasers and flickering flames; Vivid Sydney Game Zone, with interactive installations at Pyrmont Bay Park and Sky Terrace at The Star; and Aquatic Wonderland at Chatswood, featuring giant sea creatures frolicking around an animated aquarium. Plus, the Hoodoo Gurus take the stage for a one-off show at the Powerhouse Museum.
For music fanatics, look forward to four exclusive acts: Morrissey, Daniel Johns (former frontman of rock band Silverchair), Sufjan Stevens and FCX – 10 years of Future Classics, featuring Flume and Flight Facilities. And if you’re constantly on the prowl for fresh ideas, check out the new talk series, The Game Changers.
