Time Out says

Blast off these school holidays playing engineer, astronaut and astronomer

Take them to the moon and back without leaving the city these school holidays at the Sydney Observatory’s Rocket Day. Kids aged 8-10 will be constructing their very own rocket and launchpad in this full day of space exploration.

Your little space cadet will get to take these beauties home, but after the rockets are dry – and had all their very official safety checks – they’ll also be sending them into the sky and recording their flight path. In between, there will be a a viewing of the constellations through the Observatory’s powerful telescopes, and the kids will create a digital version of a rocket launch and pilot a simulated astro-adventure.
