As livestreams start to lose the sheen they bounded on to the scene with at the start of lockdown, live and in-person gigs are finally back on the cards. First, the Lansdowne started hosting gigs again, and now, Marrickville's Factory Theatre is also joining the (physically distanced) party.
Hot on the heels of the impending release of their latest album on July 10, Australian indie rock crooners the DMA's have announced a series of live concerts to be held at the much-loved venue. Initially, they two shows on each of three nights, with intimate, unplugged sets on July 30, July 31 and August 1. Now, another six shows have been added for the following weekend, too across August 6, 7 and 8. Expect old hits like 'Delete', 'Lay Down' and 'Step Up the Morphine', plus fresh new tracks off their to-be-released album, The Glow.
By ordering the album online you'll also be able to access pre-sale tickets. The bundle goes on sale at midday on Wednesday, July 8 for $9.90, proceeds of which will go towards the Aboriginal Legal Service, and include a digital download of the album and a poster (that'll go straight above our bed-heads, like in the good old days). Buy the album here. If you miss out on pre-sale, general allocation for tickets goes on sale on Wednesday, July 10. Get yours online.
