The annual Melanoma March has been running for eight years as a means to raise money for research into new, potentially life-saving melanoma treatments. To be part of this effort, you can participate in community fun runs around the country during March.
There will be two, two-hour Sydney marches, one along the Manly Promenade on March 10 and the other in Emu Plains’ Regatta Park on March 17. You can get involved by registering to simply donate any amount to the cause. Either way, you get to measure your local area’s efforts, as each run has its own donation metre.
After surpassing $620,000 in donations last year, the aim is to hit one million dollars in 2019.
