To say it's be a rough six months for our city's small businesses is a bit of an understatement. Many have been hit hard by the necessary social and physical restrictions in place due to Covid with a whopping 74% of Australian businesses stating they had to change the way they operate. City of Sydney has scooped up this concern locally with a recent survey that asked our beloved city's small operators what they needed to get back on their feet quick smart. The response from Sydney residents, creatives and small business owners were largely centred around how they could better adapt and upskill, especially in the realms of marketing, strategy planning, e-commerce, digital and data, finance, and building of customer relationship skills. Enter Reboot, City of Sydney's first action point in helping our city's businesses learn more and build some much-needed resilience.

Reboot is a series of free weekly seminars designed to help creatives and small businesses gain new digital skills. Lead by local experts from some of Australia's fastest-growing brands and businesses, the webinars will take place entirely over Zoom. Tune in at lunchtime (bring your sanga and a cuppa tea) for some free advice and workshopping on a range of useful topics.

Starting on Monday October 12, the Reboot series will give you access to some heavy hitters in the industry. Kicking it all off will be entrepreneur Tim Doyle (Koala, Pilot and Canva) who'll be diving in to ways you can rethink your business model. Catered to the specificities of pandemic pivots, Doyle will workshop how you can identify new growth opportunities and better serve your customers. The next few weeks you'll also get the chance to hear from legends like Fleur Brown (TEDx Sydney), Andre Eikmeier (Vinomofo), Chris Wirasinha (Pedestrian.tv) and Anna Cheng (Brighte).

The first six Reboot webinars are just the tip of City of Sydney's action plan with more helpful talks, workshops and opportunities rolling out over the coming months. In the meantime, what are you waiting for? Sign up for one of the fab Reboot sessions. Browse the full schedule here and find out more about the whole shebang here.
