Explore solutions for our planet’s future with this world-renowned environmental activist

The work of anthropologist and primatologist Dr Jane Goodall has become synonymous with animal welfare and conservation. She spent more than half a century studying the social structures of primates, fighting for their protection through environmental conservation and educating generations of future activists through youth projects, global conservation institutes and 26 published books.

Goodall’s seminal study in 1960, when she embedded herself within chimpanzee communities in Tanzania, challenged all scientific conventions of the time and led to unique insights into the species and the human qualities they exhibit. Just as it is for these primate communities, the dramatic shifts in our global climate, which are being accelerated by human intervention, are now displacing many species, including humans.

In this discussion, Goodall will reflect on her contributions to science and consider humanity’s role in correcting the course climate change. The 80-minute presentation will be hosted by Think Inc., an Australian organisation enlivening social discourse by addressing complex topics in a public forum, and the Jane Goodall Institute Australia.
