Movember is hosting a virtual festival this Friday to celebrate mateship

This Friday is May 8, which we’ve all come to call Mate Day. In times like these, it’s more important than ever to look in on our mates, so men’s health charity Movember has decided to throw a little online festival to celebrate mates coming together during tough times.

The MayEight Festival will be a virtual event featuring Australian musicians, comedians and more hanging out in their own homes and having important chats (but still with plenty of laughs, we’re sure). Comedians including Sam Simmons, Harley Breen, Michael Shafar, Suren Jayemanne, Lauren Edwards and Ben Kochan will be appearing. Music will come by way of the Aston Shuffle, Bag Raiders, Hockey Dad, Set Mo and Close Counters. Not only that, but there will also be fitness, yoga and meditation sessions you can tune in on and enjoy.

The entire festival is free to watch and will take place on Facebook Live, kicking off at 7am and running all day until 10pm. Dial a mate and make plans to check out the event here on Friday.
