Time Out says

Head to the harbour for a feel-good morning of exercise and eating

R U OK? has been encouraging discussion, awareness and action around mental health and suicide prevention since 2009. Each year on September 13, the Australian charity asks communities, businesses and individuals to look to their own support networks and professional circles and ask: are you okay?

This year, Sydney’s Opera Bar is supporting the initiative on September 15 by hosting a morning of activities that promote mental and physical well-being.

Former NRL star and R U OK? ambassador Dan Conn will start the day off with a rigorous 45-minute session of interval training to get those endorphins pumping. Then, clinical nutritionist Ellice Whichello will chat to the group for 15 minutes about the best way to feed happy bodies and minds.

After the morning wellness routine, you can stick to the chia and fruit bowl brekky plus coffee and juice that’s provided, or replenish your energy stocks with a full shebang hot big breakfast. There’s an 8am session for early birds and a 9.30am round if you’d still like a slight Saturday morning sleep-in.
