If you’ve ever wanted to move beyond stick figures but haven’t mustered the courage to put pen to paper in a class before, now’s the time to take that artistic leap. The MCA is hosting a special series of after-dark art classes, with bubbles provided by Champagne institution, Ruinart.
Sydney artist Will French is returning to host this special version of the weekly Sketch Club for two hours every Wednesday night in August. He’ll be instructing you in the use of raw charcoal, chalk and natural materials to work on a variety of techniques, with subjects themed around the landscapes of the Reims region where Ruinart was born.
Tickets cover the class plus wine and cheese-based nibbles for the evening, as well as a smell-off, where students will identify scents to win a wine prize to take home.
