The great outdoors meets the city at this adventure expo for women

Started in 2016 by Emma Walker, the She Went Wild Expo is an event founded for the purpose of emphasising and empowering the thrill-seeking women of Sydney. The entire family can come along and explore this hub for adventurers.

Attendees can get in touch with their wild sides by joining the free workshops and learning skills in outdoor camping, knot-tying, identifying flora, foraging and being sustainable in the outdoors. International brands specialising in a diverse mix of sports and hobbies like Osprey, CamelBak and Sea to Summit will be presenting new gear to prepare guests for their next big escapade. There’s an opportunity to connect with fellow adventure junkies at speed dating sessions.

Seasoned adventurers that will be speaking on the day include winner of the 2017 Australian Geographic Society’s Spirit of Adventure award, Lisa Blair and the acclaimed Heather Ellis, author of UBUNTU, a recount of her motorcycle journey across Africa.

Five per cent of all ticket sales will be donated to support educational projects for girls in Africa through One Girl Charity.
