Calling all fans of urban music, street threads, gaming and tasty treats – you’re not going to want to miss this. Over two consecutive weekends in July (22-23 and 29-30), Southwest Sessions is taking over Macquarie Mall in Liverpool.
Kicking off on Friday July 22, this free event will see an impressive line-up of R’n’B and hip-hop artists from the Area Movement, Studio 267 and the Street University take to the main stage for some truly energetic performances. They will also be joined by a number of local DJs who will be spinning tunes between sets and long into the night.
If you can tear yourself away from the live music, there will be an e-sports gaming area to explore, complete with PS5s, Xboxes and Nintendos. Pull up a beanbag and challenge your mate to the Mario Kart racing competition on the big screen. And be sure to check out the new and pre-loved streetwear market stalls. Finders Keepers Boutique and Sick of Skin are just two of the brands already locked in, while eBay will be doing a shoe giveaway.
There’s absolutely no chance you’ll go hungry, either. A smorgasbord of affordable food trucks will be in attendance, catering for all dietary requirements. Bar 53 will also be slinging classic drinks to ensure you stay hydrated.
So no matter your music taste or fashion sense, Southwest Sessions has something fun for everyone to enjoy this month. For more information, head to the website.
