Longing to visit Tokyo? We have excellent news for you. As reported by Travel + Leisure, the low-cost airline ZIPAIR is starting flights out of San Francisco—and the one-way fare is just $91...well, if you're aged 6 or under. But hey, this makes family travel affordable when the kids can go for such awesome prices. Prices for adults start at $325. Tickets are on sale now for flights starting June 2.

The flights going between Narita International Airport in Tokyo and San Francisco International Airport will operate five times a week on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays. The Japanese carrier also flies out of Honolulu, Los Angeles and San Jose in the U.S., and internationally out of Bangkok, Seoul and Singapore. ZIPAIR opened in 2018 as a subsidiary of Japan Airlines.

This airline offers free WiFi across all classes of travel on its 290-seat Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner, and is one of the few international airlines offering a contactless in-flight experience. On board, use a self-ordering payment system to arrange meals and goods through your phone or other devices.

Now, you probably have questions about what parameters surround travel to Japan, given that it was closed for so long to international travelers because of the pandemic. Here’s our updated list of travel tips, and here’s information about mask-wearing.

You’re also doubtless wondering if the cherry blossoms are still in bloom. And which are the coolest Airbnbs you can book in Japan, or which areas are considered the most beautiful throughout the country? We’ve got you covered.

And upon return to San Francisco, look for Alex the Giant Rabbit in the airport, and then scroll through your vacation photos at a fabulous rooftop bar or romantic restaurant.
