A young woman traverses a dream world, battling her mental fears, but will she have the courage to translate dreams into waking?
Little Warrior, our protagonist, has to navigate four worlds that hang in the balance between sleep and waking. This event will take the audience through two of those worlds, exploring concepts of afrofuturism and identity through movement, sound, and spectacle.
An excerpt from a full-length multimedia visual theatre (giant puppets, modern dance, fashion, dubstep) piece by Elisabeth Efua Sutherland, directed by Emelia P. Asiedu, with a live DJ set by DJ Steloo.
Accra Theatre Workshop is the resident theatre group at the Nubuke Foundation in East Legon and will be hosted by Alliance Francaise Accra for the first time as part of our Paillote Takpekpe monthly event, the platform for emerging artists in Ghana.
The performance will be followed by a talkback from director Emelia Asiedu & creator Elisabeth Efua Sutherland.
