Lights, camera, action!

If paintings or sculptures are too abstract for you to get the whole gist of each one, a photo exhibition can be a way to familiarize yourself with art. This weekend is a good start to do this, for Bangkok has a whole lot of art galleries welcoming guests to see their collection of cool artworks—and here's a handful of the ones that focus on the art of capturing moments with cameras. Apart from getting to see all the beautiful and thought-provoking pictures, you may also learn a thing or two about how to take a photo from these talented artists.

BACC has brought back the People's Gallery alongside the reopening of the venue, and this public talent-promoting is replete with various types of art, including photography.

Wittawat Tongkeaw, one of the Thai famed artists whose work is known for its realistic sensibilities, has returned with a new collection under the title The L/Royal Monument that tackles heavy issues around the social change and democracy.

Mancunian photographer and illustrator Neil Andrew Robinson captures the best moments from his pilgrimage to historical and ancient sites across Europe and Asia in a series of photo-art collection at the upcoming exhibition, Pilgrimage, that aims to portray the "essence of these societies, landscapes and people, and of their belief in a bigger meaning than the individual".
