The arrival of Prime Video, Amazon’s global streaming service, to Thailand has long been overdue. But the wait was worth it. Prime Video finally launched in the kingdom last August 1. For a monthly fee of B149 per month (inclusive of a seven-day free trial in the first month), you can stream and download (for offline watching) a wide variety of entertainment content, from “local Original productions and local licensed top titles” to “global Amazon Original movies and TV series”.

To compete with other streaming giants already available in the country, Prime Video has prepped up its Thai Original content. Leading the line-up is Comedy Island: Thailand, a reality challenge show that promises a “unique, off-the-wall situational improvisational comedy”.In each episode, eight famous comedians are invited on the show and tasked to complete hilarious missions. Comedy Island: Thailand is set to premiere on the streaming service sometime in 2023.

Prime Video Thailand also has other exclusive projects to keep an eye on, such as coming-of-age thriller The Up Rank and cave rescue adaptation Thirteen Lives.
