Executing the perfect comeback can be tricky, and Chef Monthep “Thep” Kamolsilp, the talent behind Thai restaurant TAAN, is going about it the best way he knows: with a new tasting menu.

Called PRODE, which means “favorite” in Thai, this multi-course meal takes inspiration from many of the dishes Chef Thep served in the past three years, and still leverages the restaurant’s goal: to showcase “local cooking wisdom and ingredients”.

Right before Taan went on hiatus, the talented chef wowed diners with his Wasan Ruduu Samrap menu. The best dishes from this offering are included in the forthcoming PRODE set, including deep-fried gobi fish with Isan mushroom sauce, seafood Golae Talay, and  black chicken rice congee.

The new nine-course PRODE menu is priced at B2,890++ and will be available from 5 May onwards . For more details and reservations, contact the restaurant at 06 5328 7374, LINE (@taanbangkok) or through its official website.
