The Architectural Ensemble of Wang Na

A prequel exhibition to what could probably be the biggest historical showcase of Wang Na, or the Front Palace, that's happening in December, The Architectural Ensemble of Wang Na delves into the long-forgotten history of the royal complex that was once the residence of many crown princes of Siam. The exhibit uses interactive 3D renditions to reveal how the Front Palace encouraged political and international relations in the olden days.

Great and Good Friends: Historic Gifts between the Kingdom of Thailand and the United States of America

The Embassy of the United States of America in Bangkok is hosting an exhibition of historic gifts exchanged between Kingdom of Thailand and the United States of America to commemorate 200 years of friendship. The exhibit features 79 priceless objects and letters that have never been previously shown anywhere in Thailand which were borrowed from the U.S. National Archives and Records Administration and its presidential libraries, the Library of Congress, the Smithsonian Institution, King Prajadhipok’s Institute, Bangkok National Museum Bangkok, Thai Department of Fine Arts, and the Thai Film Archive.

Celebrating the National Glass Plate Negatives Recognised as a Unesco Memory of the World

Exhibiting memories of a time gone by, the National Archives collection takes you back to the age of Siam and chronicles the many metamorphoses the ancient city endured from 1855 to 1935 (Rama IV to Rama Vll). A collection of royal photographic glassplate negatives and original prints from the Royal Vajirayana Library was recently recognized by the UNESCO as a “Memory of the World,” and these century-old images have been put on display for the first time.

Showcasing the exquisite taste in fashion of Her Majesty Queen Sirikit, the exhibition focuses on her relationships with Pierre Balmain and François Lesage, two legendary French couturiers who created dresses for the monarch during her trips to Europe and America. Lovers of fashion history will be privy to how Her Majesty’s impeccable style evolved and developed over the years through a series of luxurious gowns, suits, cocktail dresses, and traditional and modern Thai costumes.
