Blimey O'Reilly! It's reported that the British government has updated the travel list on August 30, with Thailand added into the ultimate 'red' category. And by this hot and horrible color labelling, it means foreigners traveling from the kingdom are completely banned to enter the UK territory, while UK residents are obliged to quarantine on arrival.

This new update could potentially affect the tourism-reviving schemes of Thailand, such as Phuket Sandbox and Samui Plus, for holiday makers from the UK are one of the biggest markets. The compulsory quarantine can come across as an unworthy trade-off, as the aspiring travelers have to practice the self-paid isolation for ten days in a hotel that could cause at least GBP2,000.

Currently, there are over 60 countries placed on the red list, with Montenegro and Thailand being the newest two to be added. You can check out the official list and all the rules from the UK government's website here.
