World Gourmet Festival returns for its 23rd year with an impressive chef lineup

The annual food event will run for six days and will feature 12 Michelin-awarded chefs.

The dining festival for lovers of fine food is back! The World Gourmet Festival is returning for its 23rd edition from September 19 to 24 at the Anantara Siam hotel on Ratchadamri. 

This year’s event sees 12 chefs from notable restaurants from around the globe joining local culinary stars to dish out supposedly-unforgettable dinners and a must-go brunch, and to lead cooking classes.   

Featured chefs include:

  • Thomas Bühner: chef patron, Germany (3 Michelin stars)
  • Jordi Artal: Cinc Sentits in Barcelona, Spain (2 Michelin stars)
  • Kiko Moya Redrado: Restaurant L'Escaleta in Alicante, Spain (2 Michelin stars)
  • Toshiharu Sunayama: Les Tonnelles in Kanazawa, Japan (2 Michelin stars)
  • Jimmy Lim: JL Studio in Taichung City, Taiwan (2 Michelin stars)
  • Daniele Lippi: Acquolina in Rome, Italy (2 Michelin stars)
  • Enrico Marmo: Balzi Rossi in Ventimiglia, Italy (1 Michelin star)
  • Theodor Falser: Johannesstube in Nova Levante, Italy (1 Michelin star)
  • Barry Quek: Whey, Hong Kong (1 Michelin star)
  • Arne Riehn: IGNIV in Bangkok, Thailand (1 Michelin star)
  • Tala Bashmi: Fusions by Tala in Manama, Bahrain (Middle East & North Africa’s Best Female Chef Award 2022)
  • Phol Tantasathien: celebrity chef, Thailand

The event will kick off with a gala dinner on September 19, followed by a multi-hand dinner each night (from B6,500/person). The week will wrap with a star-studded Sunday brunch on September 24 (B6,900/person).

At night, for the entire run of World Gourmet Festival week, the hotel’s Aqua Bar will see guest shifts featuring bartenders from outlets in Asia’s 50 Best Bars list, including Agung Prabovo and Saan Dhakal from Pennicilin Bar in Hong Kong (No. 26) and Ronnaporn Kanivichaporn from Mahaniyom (No. 22).
