On Fridays from 6pm, the terrace at Cascais’ Mercado da Vila becomes the ideal meeting point to kick off the weekend. The event brings together live music, a varied food offering – from spots such as To Beer Cascais, Salgados do Fundão, Framico and Pizza Gagau – and a relaxed open-air atmosphere. The initiative invites residents and visitors to snack, have dinner and raise a glass at the end of the day in one of the town’s most emblematic locations.
The first weekend of August in the Cascais region promises a varied agenda bringing together food, music, culture and open-air leisure. The programme kicks off on Friday with the closing night of Ageas Cooljazz, soundtracked by Chet Faker at Hipódromo Manuel Possolo, and live music on the terrace at Mercado da Vila. On Saturday, the route suggests a visit to Bruno Figueroa’s photography exhibition, followed by a dinner dedicated to traditional sushi at Soan Sushi Kaiseki, in Carcavelos.
