Christmas may be just around the corner, but Christmas for geeks arrives in April, when the Chicago Comic and Entertainment Expo (C2E2, for short) returns to McCormick Place. The 2018 edition of the comic book convention takes place from April 6 to 8, and organizers have already announced some of the celebrity special guests that hordes of costumed attendees will be lining up to see.

Rick and Morty co-creator (not to mention the voice of both Rick and Morty) Justin Roiland will be among the convention's marquee guests—just don't show up to ask him for any Szechuan sauce. Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 co-stars Dave Bautista and Pom Klementieff will also be in attendance, as will Supernatural demon king Mark Sheppard. Attendees will be able to catch these guests speaking on panels and signing autographs on the show floor throughout C2E2 weekend.

C2E2 organizers are promising even more guest announcements in the coming months, but you can already buy your ticket to the show. General admission and VIP tickets went on sale this morning, with single-day tickets running $30.75–$40.75, a three-day pass going for $75.75 and VIP passes clocking in at $220.

While you're counting down the days until C2E2 arrives, why not put together a DIY convention by visiting some of Chicago's best comic book stores, arcade bars and costume shops?
