U2 and Lollapalooza are among the hottest summer concert tickets in the U.S.

If you're hoping to sing along to "With or Without You" on the lakefront this summer, here's hoping that you already have your tickets. According to StubHub, U2's performance at Soldier Field on June 3 is the most in-demand concert of the summer in the U.S., beating out high-profile tours by the likes of Ed Sheeran, Bruno Mars and Lady Gaga. As of this writing, tickets for the sold-out show (the first of U2's two-night stand at the stadium) are being offered for as much as $2,000 on StubHub.

Four-day summer music festival Lollapalooza is also a hot ticket, though that shouldn't really come as a surprise as general admission tickets to the Grant Park fest sold out in a matter of hours. According to StubHub, Lolla is the third most in-demand festival ticket in the U.S., eclipsed only by the CMA Music Festival in Nashville and BottleRock in Napa, California. While general admission tickets are sold out, Lolla is still selling VIP ($650 per day) and Platinum ($2,800 per day) tickets through its website.

With U2 touring across the nation and plenty of other music festivals in the Midwest (and beyond), the popularity of a Solider Field gig and a giant Grant Park event only bolsters our belief that summer is the best time to be in Chicago.
