Between Spring Awakening and Chicago Blues Festival, there's no shortage of things to see around the city this weekend—including cyclists riding in the buff on Saturday evening. The annual World Naked Bike Ride will bring nearly-nude riders to the city's streets on Saturday, June 10 from 8 to 11pm, winding along a yet-to-be-announced route that will take the group through neighborhoods all across town.

Why are all these bicycle enthusiasts stripping down for a breezy ride down some of Chicago's most busy streets? It's not merely an act of exhibitionism, but rather a demonstration that seeks to raise awareness of bikes as mode of transportation (one that doesn't rely on oil) and promote positive body image. Full-frontal public nudity is a finable offense in Chicago, so most World Naked Bike Ride participants take some precautions to cover up, but if you happen upon the mass of riders, you'll see plenty of skin.

If you want to ride along, stay tuned to World Naked Bike Ride's Twitter feed for updates about where to meet and the route the ride will take. If you want to see what the ride looked like during previous years, check out World Naked Bike Ride photos from 2015 and 2016
