La (Root)

‘La (Root)’, or Larut, was the old colonial name given to the town of Taiping. Through mini-installations, 2D and 3D works of various dimensions, promising young artist Liu Cheng Hua explores the contributions made by Kapitan Chung Keng Kwee, Ngah Ibrahim and other prominent figures in Taiping since the 1860s.
