Based on the Oscar winning film by Akira Kurosawa, this Joe Hasham-directed production has enjoyed three successful stagings in the past, picking up four BOH Cameronian Arts Awards in 2003. The play begins as a shocking crime takes place: A married couple are brutally attacked and a yakuza member comes forward to claim responsibility, but as witnesses are brought in to testify, things don't seem as straight forward as they should be.
