Take Off!

While ideas from ‘Take Off!’ may be inspired by age-old dance material like silat, this critically acclaimed ASWARA Dance Company (ADC) production largely relies on contemporary and modern dance principles. Ranging from the humorous to the dark and the frivolous to the serious, ‘Take Off!’ is an eclectic collection of 11 contemporary dance works by ADC’s team of creative dancers and choreographers. Formed in 2011, ADC aims to push the boundaries of dance, and ‘Take Off!’ is crafted with that avant-garde mindset in tow, with one particularly whimsical piece revolving around the notion of life as a frog or lizard.
