The Mikado - A Comic Musical

A local adaptation of Gilbert and Sullivan’s popular classic 'The Mikado', told through a Japanese manga perspective. Set in the town of Titipu, Japan where flirting is a crime, an execution decree is released for the town to maintain its status. Receiving little response from the town, the much-feared Makido plans to visit Titipu to take charge of the situation. In the midst of all the chaos, Yum-Yum, the bride-to-be of newly-appointed Lord High Executioner (who has yet to execute anyone) Ko-Ko, has fallen in love with Nanki-Poo, (Mikado’s son) who escaped his father’s court to avoid a planned marriage with Japan’s dragon lady, Katisha.
