Soirée

Drive along Jalan Changkat Kia Peng and you’ll come across Maison Francaise, a restaurant that serves classic French cuisine. It’s located in a secluded bungalow in the heart of KL. At the ground floor, you’ll find Soirée, the name of which refers to evening house parties with great music in the company of friends – which ought to give you a good idea about the fun, chill atmosphere at this new bar. Step outside to the courtyard – that’s where you’ll see the swimming pool, which you can dip into during weekends.

Come by between 5.30pm and 7.30pm and you’ll get complimentary canapés and tapas. Each visit, you’ll get to savour something different; the menu changes daily. In the drinks menu you’ll find classics with some fun twists – we like the cosmopolitan with sugar cane and the Long Island French Tea. The courtyard is definitely the place to be, where you’ll get to enjoy a view of the Twin Towers, framed by the surrounding trees. After 10pm, the music is turned up and the patrons start dancing.

We like that the private location makes you feel as though you’ve left the city, while still letting you enjoy the skyline – it’s the best of both worlds. So relax, take in the chic setting, order up a nice cocktail and enjoy the excellent company.
