Amorous Delight

If you’ve seen its premiere season at DPAC last year, you’ll find the restaging of ‘Amorous Delight’ at this time around more subtle. The contemporary odissi production, led by Meera Das and Ramli Ibrahim previously, took inspiration from the ninth-century ‘Amarushataka’, a Sanskrit anthology of a hundred short verses – all concerned with sringara rasa, the erotic sentiment of love.
