As a form of traditional Malaysian dance, the zapin was once reserved for religious ceremonies. Nowadays, it's also performed as a form of entertainment at social gatherings. This production allows audiences to experience the heritage of the dance themselves with the 14 types found in Malaysia being showcased, such as the zapin mahpom from Johor, the zapin lenga from Melaka and the zapin sebat from Sarawak.
