A screening of Hisamuddin Rais' 'Dari Jemapoh ke Manchester', the film follows two young boys, Yadi and Madiz who live in a village completely remote from action and adventure. Driven by their dreams, the boys one day steal a car and drive to Manchester - not knowing where it really is. First released in Singapore back in 2000, the film has travelled across film festivals from Singapore to Rotterdam and marks Rais' significant departure from traditional Malaysian cinema to a fresh jump of youthful narrative expression.
