Paul Loosley’s Shakespeare on Film 9: Playing Shakespeare

Paul Loosley has curated a series of (mostly) British films based on Shakespeare’s works. ‘Playing Shakespeare’ kicks off with the screening of Kenneth Branagh’s ‘In the Bleak Midwinter’ (Hamlet), starring Richard Briars and Joan Collins. Other films include Douglas Hickox’s ‘Theatre of Blood’, John Madden’s ‘Shakespeare in Love’, James Ivory’s ‘Shakespeare Wallah’, and Al Pacino’s ‘Looking for Richard’.
